Never Been to a Physio Before? Here's the Full Picture

Most first-time patients walk in with the same questions β€” what to wear, what to bring, how long it takes. Here's everything covered, so your first visit to our Worli clinic feels familiar from the moment you arrive.

βœ“
What to WearLoose, comfortable clothing you can move freely in β€” gym wear or something similar works well, especially if we're assessing your back, hip or knee.
βœ“
What to BringAny MRI, X-ray or ultrasound reports, a list of current medications, and details of any past surgeries or injections related to your complaint.
βœ“
A Quick Intake FormFive minutes on arrival to note your medical history, work routine and how your pain behaves through the day β€” useful context before the hands-on assessment.
βœ“
Time to Set AsideYour first session runs 45–50 minutes, longer than a routine follow-up, since it includes both the assessment and an initial treatment.
βœ“
Who You'll SeeA senior, MPT-qualified physiotherapist handles your entire first visit β€” not a trainee or a rotating junior.
βœ“
Getting HereOur clinic sits a short walk from Worli Naka, with easy access from Annie Besant Road for anyone commuting from Lower Parel, Prabhadevi or Mahalakshmi on their way home from work.
Step by Step

Your First Session, From Start to Finish

Every first visit at our Worli clinic follows the same four-part structure, so nothing about your treatment is guesswork.

1

History & Discussion

We talk through when the pain started, what makes it better or worse, and how it's affecting your work, workouts or sleep.

2

Physical Assessment

Posture, joint range, muscle strength and movement patterns are tested to pinpoint the actual source of the problem.

3

Diagnosis, in Plain Terms

You'll hear exactly what's going on, why it happened, and roughly how many sessions it should take to sort out.

4

First Treatment & Plan

Most patients receive hands-on treatment the same day, plus a written home-exercise plan before they leave.

The Assessment

What Actually Happens During the Examination

The 45-minute assessment is split into two parts β€” what you tell us, and what we find on physical testing.

Subjective Assessment

  • Onset, duration and pattern of your pain
  • Daily routine β€” desk job, gym schedule, commute, sport
  • Past injuries, surgeries or existing conditions
  • What you've already tried, and what has or hasn't helped

Physical Assessment

  • Posture and alignment, standing and seated
  • Range of motion at the affected joint
  • Muscle strength and any compensations
  • Functional movement β€” walking, squatting, reaching, lifting

Questions First-Timers Ask

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a doctor's referral to visit?

No referral is required. You can book directly with us, though if you have a specialist's report or recent scan, bringing it along helps us assess faster.

Is parking available near the clinic?

Worli can get congested around peak office hours. We'll share the nearest parking options and the easiest approach route from Annie Besant Road when you confirm your appointment.

Will I get treatment on the first day, or just an assessment?

Most patients receive some hands-on treatment during the first visit itself, alongside the assessment β€” you're not just diagnosed and sent home.

Do you offer home visits for people working in Lower Parel or BKC?

Yes. We run home and office visits across Worli, Lower Parel, Prabhadevi, Mahalakshmi and Parel for patients who can't travel to the clinic during work hours.

Do you accept cashless insurance?

We don't process cashless treatment directly, but every session comes with a detailed, insurance-friendly receipt you can submit for reimbursement.

How many sessions will I need?

This depends entirely on your condition. After your first assessment, your physiotherapist will give you an honest estimate β€” not an open-ended, indefinite session count.
